Within Expedia Group’s Product & Technology division sits the Traveler and Partner Service Platform (TPSP) organization which is a combination of our retail, partner and B2B operations and service product and technology teams.

The Senior Director, Finance will be a visionary FP&A leader for the TPSP Team within the Expedia Product and Technology division. The Senior Director, Finance will work with the SVP of the TPSP organization as a thought and business partner, serving to drive business performance, strategy, cost optimization and to improve the traveler and partner experience.

This leader will manage a global FP&A team and report into the CFO of the Expedia Product and Technology Division.

 

What you’ll do:

Demonstrate expert understanding of the business successes, challenges, and strategic objectives; draws from experience to evaluate solutions from the business’ perspective and provide advice regarding potential opportunities and risks

Leverage your expertise in financial analysis to present and communicate financial results to senior executives and influence them in developing new strategies to enhance the organization’s financial performance. Guide the financial forecast process with business partners

Provide input into the organization’s business model and operations to drive larger business decisions that advance the organization’s mission and enhance its reputation

Set industry standard for complex financial modeling and continuously improve the company’s reporting and modelling tools based on best practice, enabling advanced financial modeling

Establish key organizational performance indicators and metrics to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness

Implement solutions, cognizant of financial and operational factors that work across business units/functions resulting in improved financial performance

Drive project/process resources and requirements that result in the right policies, practices, trends, and information that shape the organization

Guide organization-wide resource utilization to force simplicity, maximize performance, and value add; monitors the organization’s operational efficiency

Establish a culture that values high quality delivery of information; work to continuously improve the organization’s level of operational excellence.

Challenge the organization to identify new and upcoming trends in finance and the economic market impacting own business in order to remain competitive and enhance the competitive advantage of the organization

Promote a “one-team” mentality that encourages ownership and collaboration around technical and customer problems irrespective of organizational boundaries

Set the vision and lead a high-performing, global FP&A team, prioritizing ongoing learning & development

Who you are:

A senior FP&A  leader, expert in a variety of operational and strategic, high-visibility finance roles

Must have experience leading a global finance team in a global technology organization

Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling

Proven ability to influence and drive leadership to decisions and tangible outcomes

Comfortable creating positive relationships across a number of teams and supporting c-suite level leaders

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or professional accounting qualification

A Storyteller: able to build and communicate clearly a vision and strategy. Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act

Able to evaluate and making recommendations across opposing and equally critical business needs

Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment

Business Acumen: Demonstrate a keen understanding of business operations and the organizational levers (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth

A Team Player: who has thrived in demanding, intellectually charged environments, has strong convictions and can win credibility and contribute across the breadth of a business and its senior management team

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $261,500.00 to $366,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $418,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
