Microsoft Search Advertising (MSA) empowers advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platforms. We are seeking a seasoned sales and business development leader to maximize our global channel partner business and to ensure that partners around the world can take full advantage of the Microsoft Advertising solution set.
As the Senior Director of the Global Channel Partner Sales organization, you will lead a globally distributed organization accountable for driving revenue, scale, and density in our ecosystem of Small & Medium Business (SMB) advertisers. This role requires outstanding sales and people leadership capabilities with an emphasis on strategic planning, the ability to operate with a P&L mindset, deep collaboration with product and engineering teams, and a consistent track record of cross-functional collaboration and influence across business, marketing, support, legal and finance teams.
You will cultivate executive-level relationships with channel partners around the world in North America, EMEA, and APAC, with a focus on driving excellence in performance media and bringing new SMB’s into the Microsoft Advertising ecosystem, as well as supporting partner growth into programmatic, CTV (connected TV) and video, and retail media. You will be a coach who leads with rigor, empathy, and the ability to balance between what is best for partners and what is best for Microsoft. The selected candidate will be a powerful collaborator and influencer with a solid consultative ability.

**Responsibilities**
+ Deliver or exceed revenue expectations, including revenue ex TAC (traffic acquisition costs), while driving growth and profitability through incentive and revenue adjust budgets.
+ Inspire a diverse team across the globe with clear strategic and execution guidance, a growth mindset, and a focus on building trust, collaboration and psychological safety across the team.
+ Partner closely across SMB stakeholders in sales, marketing, product and business planning to build a cohesive SMB strategy and clear opportunities and territories to grow and diversify SMB demand via channel partnerships.
+ Bring deep Search and performance media knowledge into the business and partner very closely with product, engineering and marketplace teams to ensure that partner requirements are well understood and influenced across the Microsoft Advertising platforms, tools and processes, and marketplace optimization.
+ Partner with Product Marketing and Marketing teams to ensure a robust and targeted value proposition and narrative to channel partners around the globe. Operate as an industry evangelist with partners and in relevant digital advertising, ad tech and SMB industry forums.
+ Partner with Sales Excellence and Sales leadership across segments to ensure clear segmentation criteria and swim lanes to maximize revenue opportunity for Microsoft Advertising while minimizing channel conflict.
+ Establish and deepen relationships with partners, including C-level and VP+ stakeholders across both Business and Technical teams.
+ Partner with Strategy, Business Planning and Sales Strategy to develop long-range plans to grow and evolve the SMB partner channel over the next 3-5 years.
+ Partner across Microsoft Commercial teams to craft and deliver a One Microsoft story where and when it makes sense and to build sales motions that retire goals of both teams.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 12+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 10+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 7+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
+ 4+ years people management experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 16+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field AND 14+ years partner management, sales, business development, platform ecosystem/network, or partner channel development in the technology industry
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 8+ years experience with planning, budgeting, and other project management activities.
+ 10+ years experience leading cross-functional teams in complex sales cycles, including Direct Sales, Partner Sales, Technical Sales, or Business Development.
+ Experience managing strategic partnerships with a proven track record of performance against revenue goals, cost & profitability targets, high productivity and timely completion of deliverables in a leadership role.
+ Experience in the SMB segment or with partner motions that operate at scale.
+ Experience and passion for building transformative growth plans and new product visions in partnership with cross-organizational teams. An ability to navigate ambiguity, risk-taking, failure and iteration at high rates of speed.
+ Experience establishing and cultivating trust-based relationships directly with senior level leaders preferably at the GM+ level or above internally and / or C-level externally. Industry connections are a plus.
+ Direct experience leading ENG partnerships in a resource-constrained environment where trade-offs and prioritization are a regular part of the business dialogue.

Partner Account Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,000 - $243,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $198,800 - $267,000 per year.
