Position Overview
Rubrik is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement based at Rubik's headquarters in Palo Alto, California. The ideal candidate would have experience in scaling an indirect procurement and supplier management function in a growing technology company. This role requires experience across a broad range of procurement activities including sourcing, contracts, supplier management and procure-to-pay processes. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively across stakeholders including buying organizations, legal and finance teams and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Build and scale a world-class global procurement team (indirect procurement) to support company growth to $1B in sales, 3K+ employees and beyond, driving cost efficiency and managing risk appropriately. Partner across the business to develop and execute strategies for all spend categories, with a particular focus on IT / technology. Streamline procurement and sourcing processes and procedures, driving controls, visibility and efficiency. Educate stakeholders on the sourcing processes as well as the value that the procurement team can deliver. Manage, rationalize and develop the supplier base, ensuring suppliers have the capabilities that Rubrik requires and can offer increased value at scale. Lead and set strategy for supplier contract negotiations. Ensure that benefits from the strategic sourcing process are sustained and extended during the period of the contracts through ongoing improvement strategies and initiatives including post sourcing. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including legal, finance and internal business partners.Required Skills & Background:
Accomplished and seasoned professional with 7-12 years of deep procurement experience, inclusive of the IT / technology category. Top-class negotiation skills. Mastery of procurement tools (Coupa experience is a plus), techniques and processes . Working knowledge of Finance processes and requirements. Strong leadership, internal and external relationship building and communication skills. Ability to build a brand for procurement in the company and drive change. Excellent partnering, communication, and project management skills in leading sourcing initiatives. Deep knowledge of a range of spend categories and ability to quickly master new areas.
