Job Title: Senior Director, Global Project Delivery - Corporate Real Estate (CRE)
What is the opportunity?
In this Senior Director role, as the Global Project Delivery center of excellence, you will be accountable to ensure that RBC has a global framework for efficient and timely project and program delivery that supports RBC business unit objectives and mitigates operational and financial risks in an outsourced, regional delivery model. You will provide oversight of RBC’s multiple project vendors (project delivery and design) and sourcing as well as a point of vendor performance escalation ensuring project vendors are aligned with RBC objectives and compliant with RBC policies, regulations, and laws. This role will report into the CRE VP of Global Delivery.
Additionally, this role is responsible for leading the project delivery of a key CRE outsourcing strategy initiative (Project Everest). This major transformational initiative involves the future outsourced services model for all corporate real estate services performed by third parties under long term master services agreements managed by CRE. This role will partner with the Global Transformation Team, CRE Leadership, functional partners & other leaders across RBC to identify project related activities, manage stakeholder relationships and activate the project plan. The role will ensure governance throughout the various phases of the project aligns with the RBC framework and within approved scope, schedule and budget while minimizing service disruption to business partners and mitigating risks.
What will you do?
Global Project Delivery Center of Excellence
Define and implement a consistent delivery strategy and framework (eg. supplier strategy, construction approach, internal vs external management and other elements essential to project and program delivery) to support a Regional Delivery model.Establish quantitative standards of performance, management reporting, metrics, and key information to be used by Regional Delivery team through a dedicated outsourced CRE Project Management Office (PMO)Accountable to ensure the deployment of leading industry practices related to project delivery, including leaning of project delivery processes, value engineering, and innovative project delivery methodologies to decrease cost and increase speed of delivery.Primary subject matter expert for Construction Sourcing strategy - collaborate with Procurement to strategically source goods and services and establish MSAs as needed.Responsible for overall supplier performance & advise on approach to delivery of projects - e.g. global, local, program approach with the following suppliers: Design, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Equipment, etc.Global CRE Transformation Initiative
Provide Program Management expertise and direction to support project delivery. This includes but is not limited to strategic planning, stakeholder management & the identification of critical activities.Influence and align project outcomes to optimize the benefits and reduce the risks throughout projects.Accountable for the delivery of all end to end project plan activities.Manage all project controls to ensure effective governance including project documentation.Lead integration of the various workstreams, driving alignment across internal CRE teams, Service Providers and with key functional partners where applicable.Develop and manage a detailed schedule, identify early warning indicators, potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with Global Transformation Team and CRE Senior Leadership.Provide regular Executive Level briefings on program delivery of the Transformation initiative and participate in the numerous executive level/stakeholder socialization presentations.Establish and monitor project milestones, and provide timely project, program executive summaries, as well as appropriate internal management reporting, metrics, and key information.What do you need to succeed?

University Degree or equivalent experience10+ years of global real estate project management experience with at least 3 years in a senior capacity and experience with global project portfoliosProven knowledge of all aspects of real estate projects including cost estimating, scheduling, construction contracts, value engineering, procurement methods and capital planningA bias for action, demonstrating agility and decisiveness with prior experience working in fast-paced deadline and sensitive environment.Working knowledge of all aspects of corporate real estate services and interdependenciesWell-developed communication and presentation skills including executive interactions.Strategic business acumen and strong risk and cost control mindsetNice-to-have
