**Senior Director, Health Transformation**
Manulife Asia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Transformation Director to join our Strategy and Transformation team. The Health Transformation Director will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end execution of our Asia health strategy to drive towards our health ambition. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, healthcare and health insurance expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
**Position Responsibilities:**
**1. Strategic Execution and Leadership -**
+ Lead the implementation of Manulife’s Asia health strategy, ensuring alignment with overall strategic priorities and Manulife’s health ambitions.
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive health strategy execution plan, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, tasks, and key milestones for health-focused initiatives.
+ Facilitate the development of key health metrics and indicators to track the success of initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic health value drivers and objectives.
**2. Project Management and Governance -**
+ Oversee and manage the execution of the plan, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope, through effective governance to maintain momentum and accountability.
+ Facilitate the health steering committee to ensure strategic alignment and oversight from executive stakeholders.
+ Identify, manage, and escalate key issues and risks in a timely manner, ensuring proactive problem-solving and mitigation strategies.
**3. Insights Sharing and Opportunities Assessment -**
+ Continuously assess the health landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, recommending actions to accelerate progress towards our health ambition and outperform peers.
+ Provide expert insights and guidance leveraging industry knowledge and analytical skills to steer towards successful outcomes.
**4. Program Success and Culture Building -**
+ Elevate the profile of health initiatives within the organization, ensuring they receive the necessary focus and resources.
+ Motivate and encourage health-focused workstream leads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
+ Recognize and celebrate successes within the health strategy program to maintain morale and highlight positive outcomes.
**Required Qualifications:**
Extensive experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and regulatory environments in Asia.
**1. Project management expertise:**
+ Proven track record in project management, with the ability to manage complex, multi-market projects and drive them to successful completion.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
**2. Strategic thinking**
+ Sound knowledge of the health insurance business and healthcare landscape.
+ A deep experience in health insurance products and operations, and ideally an understanding of key Manulife systems and processes.
+ Strong strategy background and analytical capability, ability to translate into action items which drive initiatives, including data-driven problem solving and decision-making skills.
+ Solid financial acumen to evaluate and understand financially feasible actions for strategy implementation.
**3. Leadership**
+ Strong business acumen with proven experience in stakeholder management.
+ Ability to positively engage with various stakeholders and supports, advocates, communicates and implement change.
+ Collaborative mindset with exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills.
+ Self-motivated, independent and with excellent interpersonal skills
**4. Education and qualification**
+ University degree or higher, with preference to degrees in healthcare, medicine, business administration or a related field.
+ Fluency in English is required; proficiency in one or more Asian languages is an advantage.
