The Senior M&A Leader will play a key role in driving the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will manage the entire M&A process, including evaluating targets, developing valuation models, assessing complex scenarios, and presenting findings to executive leadership. Additionally, this role will oversee the due diligence process, assist in negotiating transaction terms, and collaborate with external stakeholders to cultivate strategic partnerships.
As a key member of the growth team, the Senior M&A Leader will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership, providing critical financial insights and recommendations. The role offers significant exposure to executive leadership, key stakeholders, and the opportunity to strengthen business acumen, enhance strategic capabilities, and thrive in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Lead M&A activities, including deal assessments, financial analyses, due diligence, and research.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute due diligence, reviewing financial, legal, and operational aspects of transactions.
+ Develop financial valuation models, perform sensitivity analyses, and assess potential synergies with division and operational leaders.
+ Engage with financial firms, bankers, and stakeholders to evaluate acquisition opportunities.
+ Translate analytics into clear presentations for the executive team and board.
+ Support corporate and business development activities, including partnerships, strategic investments, and growth initiatives.
+ Assist with post-transaction activities, including integration and long-term analysis.
+ Partner with senior leaders to develop M&A strategies aligned with financial targets.
+ Use business knowledge to identify potential products and companies of interest.
+ Conduct research to identify M&A targets and emerging opportunities.
+ Analyze competitive landscapes and trends to uncover strategic opportunities.
+ Prepare financial reports, presentations, and transaction summaries for stakeholders.
+ Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting investments.
+ Support new ventures with deal sourcing, project management, and logistics.
+ Build and present compelling investment cases to executive leadership.
+ Monitor post-acquisition performance to ensure strategic goals and value realization.
+ Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including partners, investment banks, and venture capital firms.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on M&A and strategic growth initiatives.
+ Provide regular updates on corporate development and deal pipeline progress.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results within the corporate development function.
**Qualifications, Education, and Experience:**
+ 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, with a proven track record in M&A and deal execution.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
+ Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes.
+ Strong understanding of the technology sector, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
+ Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable deal terms.
+ Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop actionable insights.
+ Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
+ High adaptability and resilience in fast-paced environments.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
+ Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including financial statement analysis and modeling.
+ Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Visio is a plus.
+ Familiarity with M&A documentation, due diligence, and integration strategies.
+ Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
+ Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Proactive problem-solving skills and sound judgment in developing solutions.
