The Enterprise Marketing team plays a vital role in customer acquisition and retention for our omnichannel shopping experiences. We manage customer relationships throughout the entire customer journey by using various customer data and insights to design and implement effective customer engagement strategies at each stage of the customer lifecycle, from initial awareness and acquisition to planning and shopping, and to retention and loyalty beyond shopping. What you will be doing

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and strategic Senior Director, Digital Marketing Analytics to lead the development, execution, and measurement of our data-driven marketing strategies. This individual will be a visionary leader who can transform marketing data into actionable insights that drive growth, optimize campaigns, and increase ROI across all digital channels. This key leader will collaborate with marketing leadership in development and implementation of multi-channel campaigns leveraging data science, modeling of customer lifetime value, customer and performance insights, and advanced analytics, to recommend mass, targeted, and personalized marketing campaigns and offers through paid and owned marketing channels. They will also be responsible for creating and delivery of measurement and analyses frameworks as well as insights that allow for feedback loops and optimization of campaigns on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will be both a big-picture strategist and a hands-on expert in analytics, data modeling, and visualization.

The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA, Seattle, WA or one of our main regional offices.

Main responsibilities

Analytics Strategy & Leadership:

Design and oversee the company's comprehensive marketing analytics framework, including the selection of tools, platforms, and methodologies. Define and consistently track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all digital marketing channels, providing regular reports and insights to the marketing leadership team. Develop sophisticated predictive models and advanced statistical analysis to forecast trends and optimize marketing spend. Create data-informed testing roadmaps to improve campaign performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition. Utilize data science and advanced analytics to develop predictive models and segmentation strategies that optimize marketing campaigns and improve customer engagement. Build and manage a high-performing analytics team with a culture of data-driven excellence. Mentor, coach, and inspire team members to reach their full potential. Manage the vision and roadmap for the team.

Data-Driven Marketing Insights:

Collaborate closely with marketing leadership to understand objectives and translate them into measurable analytics strategies. Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within complex datasets, distilling them into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders. Lead the development of clear, visually impactful dashboards and reports to inform strategic decision-making at all levels of the organization. Champion a data-centric approach across the marketing team, fostering data literacy and insights-driven decision-making. Track and report on performance, ensuring each program is delivering differentiated value against its intended objective. Institute rigorous test-and-learn methodology to optimize media programs. Use a range of analytics and measurement tools to understand and analyze customer segment and marketing channel performance and ensure marketing efficiency is continuously optimized with a strong focus on revenue and customer acquisition. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Build strong working relationships with data engineers, and data product teams to ensure clean data flows and optimal implementation of tracking solutions.  Collaborate with central data science teams, serving as the primary marketing liaison, to guide direction of data science roadmap for marketing and personalization related workstreams. Collaborate with performance and growth marketers to create data-driven marketing strategies and continuous measurement frameworks for inter- and intra-campaign optimizations. Partner with finance teams to perform in-depth ROI analysis for campaigns and initiatives, helping to inform budgeting decisions.

The salary range is $177,000 to $247,800. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for 

Master's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Math, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, web analytics, etc., with at least 10 years of leadership experience in leading high performing advanced analytics, data science, customer and marketing analytics or similar teams, along with hands-on experience and academic qualifications in related fields. Proven experience leading teams of analysts and data scientists in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong background in data science and predictive modeling, with a focus on customer lifetime value. Required familiarity, and preferred proficiency in statistical modeling tools such as R, Python, SAS, and SQL. Detailed understanding of digital advertising channels – SEM, Display, Paid Social, Affiliates, Email, Push, SMS, etc. Strong understanding of Customer Data Platforms and their capabilities, hands on experience with top CDPs a plus Expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning techniques such as clustering, propensity modeling, decision trees, customer lifetime value modeling, look-alikes, and regression analysis. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong business acumen, with a track record of driving measurable business results through data-driven insights. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Strong understanding of audience segmentations, customer targeting, omnichannel operations  Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple active projects and priorities. Hands on experience with robust martech and adtech platforms especially Adobe, Google, Salesforce stacks Strong initiative, customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills with experience in negotiation and consensus building.
