As the Sr. Director of News for Spectrum Noticias, you have the chance to set the strategy for a 24/7 Spanish language news network, reaching local communities across the country and shaping the future of local news in the process. The Sr. Director of News is the most senior newsroom leader, responsible for all editorial and news programming to help keep local communities informed. The Sr. Director of News runs operations, talent management, budget planning, production, and more.
In addition to editorial strategy, the Sr. Director of News is a strong leader of people, continuously elevating performance and raising the bar across the networks. By exchanging consistent, constructive feedback on programming, this role guides the team in covering everything from breaking news and weather forecasts to deep dives, beat journalism, and special programming.

Required Qualifications
Experience:News experience – 10+ years, Management experience – 7+ yearsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or comparable experienceTechnical skills: Programming knowledge and an understanding of the evolving digital media landscapeSkills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate relationships and motivate co-workers. The base pay for this position generally is between $169,800.00 and $361,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
