What you will be doing
The Senior Director, OmniChannel Excellence reports to the VP of eCommerce operations. This role will provide strategic leadership for defining and driving our operations centralized services teams, which include Last Mile, Continuous Improvement, and Store Support. In this role, they will ensure an integrated and seamless experience in the execution of eComm processes in stores that are clearly defined and standardized with the goal of continually improving operational efficiency.
The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA, or one of our main regional offices.
Main responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the VP, eCommerce Operations and other key cross-functional partners to define and execute the long-term strategy for eCommerce operations. Lead the operations centralized services team to drive a seamless approach to eCommerce operations implemented in the field Oversee Continuous Process Improvement team, with a focus on defining one-best-method in-store fulfillment practices, and partnering with division operations teams to drive training and adoption across a network of 2,000+ stores Oversee Last Mile Delivery operations, with a focus on driving delivery quality improvements and cost reductions in both Fleet and Third-Party delivery operations; will be responsible for onboarding new delivery service providers, launching and scaling new last-mile offerings, improving on-time service and delivery reliability, and improving the efficiency of owned Fleet operations Lead capital and space planning for eCommerce operations, defining the investments required to support the long-term growth goals of the eCommerce business Partner with division operations to drive consistency in adoption of eCommerce one-best method practices, ensuring best practice becomes common practice across a network of 2,000+ stores. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability to results, and continuous improvementThe salary range is $159,000.00 to $222,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). 15+ years of progressively responsible work experience, with a background in retail or eCommerce operations management Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field is preferred Track record of driving operational improvements and achieving significant business results in a retail environment Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentorship and development Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and defined initiatives Willingness to travel (approximately 2x/month)What is it like at Albertsons?
