We are seeking a Senior Director of Performance Marketing to join our team and help us continue improve our media to drive our business. This role will be responsible for developing, executing and optimizing our direct-to-consumer marketing strategies as well as the online customer journey with a goal to increase traffic, conversion and loyalty. This role lead a team responsible for the strategic plan and vision and execution of lower funnel media, SEO and email, driving sales on Samsung.com. This position reports directly to the VP of Corporate Marketing and will partner with the D2C team and all functional and business leaders across all of Samsung Electronics America.
Role and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Lead the team responsible for performance media buying (Google Shopping/Product Listing Ads (PLAs), Affiliate (e.g. Rakuten), Content (e.g. Howl), and lower funnel Social Drive across all lines of businesses (Mobile, Home Entertainment, Digital Appliances and Monitor). Strategize, plan, manage, and continuously improve robust cross-media marketing programs for all lines of business, working with media partners to stay on top of the evolving digital media landscape and run experimentation to learn and improve business outcomes.Act as primary Performance Marketing lead on Samsung Mobile eXperience (MX) products, including phones, tablets, PCs and wearables.Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).Manage ecommerce media budget, optimizing spend to improve return on ad spend, new buyer and repeat buyers targets, and other appropriate metrics.Partner with analytics team to understand user behavior across all digital channels to help improve site engagement and increase conversion of key metrics.Manage overall SEO health of Samsung.com, in partnership with eCommerce and marketing teams, to rank favorably for branded and non-branded keyword search.Lead the team responsible for cross-line of business CRM (email, push notifications, SMS), owning the strategy, creative and performance analysis.Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 14 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 12 years and a Master's degree, or a PhD with 9 years experience.Experience working in a hands-on digital marketing role coupled with strong experience in high growth B2C environments.Extensive hands-on experience in creating digital lead generation campaigns, which includes Google PLA, paid social, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), as well as, understands how to optimize campaigns to meet effective KPIs. Experience deploying campaigns, such as writing ads and developing keyword lists on Google AdWords. If you have only used an agency to deploy your campaigns, this is not the right position for you.Background partnering with senior executives on growth strategies as well as leading digital marketing teamsProven experience in building innovative, proactive, high-impact digital channels; utilizing all relevant channels, and aligning strategies with business goals in order to drive revenue and customer engagement.Must have advanced knowledge of online ad serving, creative capabilities, behavioral targeting and data strategies.Deep knowledge of digital marketing (SEO, SEM, Social, Email, Partnerships, Content, etc.). Experience with non-digital channels a plus, especially direct mail.A passion for consumers – both how to influence their behavior and delivering flawless consumer experiences. Prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines, and take directions. Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.Active problem solver and creative thinker who can think on their feet and define and manage an ongoing test & learn agenda.Must be highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and collaborative relationships across a matrix organizationHigh level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Google Analytics or similar platform; and AdwordsBachelor’s degree in Business / Marketing or related field.
