Senior Director, Product Management
White Ops
HUMAN was founded in 2012 in a Brooklyn sci-fi bookstore by Tamer Hassan, Michael Tiffany, Dan Kaminsky, and Ash Kalb. Our humble beginnings led to the creation of the Human Defense Platform, the backbone of all our products that safeguards enterprises from sophisticated bots, fraud, and account abuse. Today we verify the humanity of more than 20 trillion interactions per week for some of the largest companies and internet platforms.
Our hacker roots still permeate everything we do. You will be a part of the HUMAN front line in our commitment to protecting companies (and in turn, their customers) from both revenue and reputation risk caused by digital attacks. However, HUMAN is not the center of this story. Humans like yourself are. We firmly believe in putting people first. This approach spans our extensive total rewards package, inclusive of competitive compensation, benefits, stipends - as well as our day-to-day culture - to ensure every human is empowered to do the best work of their life. We want to hear about the marathon you’re training for. We want to see pictures of your pets. We want to know your favorite robot (we have many).
Even if you’re not a conventional “hacker” we can assure you that you are a hacker in your own right. We want to work with people like you who break down problems to build up better solutions. That’s what makes us HUMAN. You’ll be joining us at an exciting moment in the HUMAN story: we joined forces with PerimeterX in a , as well as recently acquired to enhance the Human Defense Platform. Together under the HUMAN brand, we will disrupt the economics of cybercrime. We hope you can join us in that mission.
The emerging Products team is tasked with building the next generation of Human solutions. We identify market opportunities and synergies with existing products, and bring new products to market that will serve as the growth engines and the future of the company. This is the place where new products are initiated, and where young products are grown and begin their maturation and scaling process. This particular role is for the founder product leader of an incubation project that would build a HUMAN Defense Platform ready to deploy in a ring-fenced environment to meet the needs of highly regulated entities like government, financial institutes, and dedicated isolated instances that allow the configuration of ad-hoc compliance needs. What You'll DoBuild from Concept to MVP: Spearhead the full lifecycle of a new HUMAN Defense Platform, transforming a visionary idea into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) ready to sell to highly regulated entities such as government agencies and financial institutions.Lead Product Incubation: Act as the primary architect and driver of the incubation project, developing a platform that can meet ad-hoc compliance needs for isolated instances, customized for secure, regulated environments.Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with a cross-functional team, including product managers, engineers, security researchers, federal sales teams, and customers from the banking and government sectors, ensuring alignment on goals and requirements.Translate Compliance into Engineering: Masterfully map regulatory, compliance, and security requirements into technical specifications and architectural plans that guide engineering teams in building robust solutions.Prototype and Architect Solutions: Rapidly prototype solutions that address the complex needs of highly regulated entities, while drafting detailed documentation and specifications for engineering and operational deployment.Scale and Build Teams: Attract, recruit, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, engineers, and developers as the product matures, taking ownership of the hiring process for key roles.Strategic Leadership and Decision-Making: Own the product strategy, roadmap, and vision, making high-level product decisions and trade-offs to ensure the successful delivery of a platform ready for deployment in sensitive, high-security environments.Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with senior stakeholders, including external customers and internal leadership, to drive product evolution based on feedback, ensuring the platform meets evolving market needs.Cloud Integration and Security: Design the product architecture with deep knowledge of large cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) while ensuring compliance with the highest security standards and federal regulations.Who You AreFounder’s Mindset: You embody the spirit of a founder—entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and unafraid to navigate uncharted territory. You thrive in ambiguity and excel at turning concepts into tangible, marketable products.Technically Savvy: You’re a skilled developer and technical product leader with hands-on experience in cloud architectures, security, and compliance requirements for large-scale regulated environments.Compliance Translator: You are well-versed in federal regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, CCPA) and can translate these into clear technical requirements for product design and development.Collaborative Innovator: You excel in collaborating with diverse teams, building strong relationships across sales, engineering, research, and external partners, ensuring all voices contribute to a successful product outcome.Prototyping Expert: You’re capable of both leading and doing—you can quickly prototype simple yet effective solutions, while documenting detailed technical requirements for large-scale, long-term deployments.Leadership & Team Builder: You have experience building and leading teams from the ground up, successfully hiring, mentoring, and scaling product and engineering teams in high-pressure, high-impact environments.Cloud Technology Specialist: You have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, including the technical and security nuances of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and can design solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant.Visionary & Problem Solver: You think big but act practically—you can visualize the end product while methodically solving complex regulatory and technical challenges step by step. The base pay range for this position is $220,000- $265,000 which can include additional on-target bonus and/or incentives. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. HUMAN prides itself on being an equal opportunity workplace. We firmly believe in putting people first regardless of who you are, where you come from, how you identify, or who your favorite robot is (we have many). We are on a mission to protect the integrity of the internet for everyone, so we welcome all individuals to come to share their unique experiences and perspectives as we fight against cybercrime together!
With Humans located in all parts of the world, we’ve fully embraced our diversity of thought and are always looking for innovative ways to connect with one another - even in virtual reality! Although New York City is our HQ, we have teams in Tel Aviv, Israel; London, UK; Victoria, Canada; San Mateo, CA; Miami, FL; and Virginia.
We trust our Humans in choosing where they work and how they work. The total rewards package we provide reflects our commitment to our Humans’ personal career development, which includes annual stipends for wellbeing and learning & development, and a one time home office setup stipend. We also offer weekly lunches, dedicated time off, no-meeting Fridays (for our U.S. and Intl. based HUMANs), HUMAN days, and so much more.
We’re constantly trying to anticipate the needs of our Humans to ensure each one of us is equally prepared to do some of the best work of our life. Taking care of one another is part of the HUMAN experience and how we build true HUMAN connections.
