Senior Director of Product Marketing

Position Overview: The mission of this role is to enhance awareness of Visteon’s products and capabilities in alignment with the company strategy. The incumbent will understand the technical aspects of the story and create messaging that supports the Visteon narrative. They will align external and internal messaging to establish and support the company’s reputation and leadership role in automotive technology and innovation.

This role develops messaging, stories, and proof points that showcase our products and disseminates these to the appropriate audiences. The role collaborates internally to create compelling messaging that highlights market differentiation, boosts brand visibility, and engages both external audiences and internal teams.

Key Stakeholders: Product Line Leaders, CEO, Functional Executive Leaders

Key Objectives of the Role:

Create Product Line Market Messaging Aligned to Company Strategy: Work with Product Line leaders to translate technical product details into key messages, stories, and proof points for customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Establish governance to ensure messaging is developed in parallel with new product envisioning. Content Creation and Management: Develop high-quality marketing content, including product collateral, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers. Manage the creation of digital marketing assets, such as website content and , social media posts. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on product messaging and positioning.

Key Performance Indicators:

Effectiveness of product data sheets in terms of usability, accuracy, and driving customer interest. Positioning and Thought Leadership: Position in industry reports (e.g., Gartner, IHS Markit). Internal stakeholder feedback on impact.

 

Key Year One Deliverables:

Develop Visteon’s product marketing function, including key deliverables, governance, and KPIs. Elevate technical details into key messages linked to the broader Visteon story, creating one-page product data sheets for each product. Establish data-driven metrics, governance, and reporting systems to track and measure the performance and effectiveness.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 12+ years of experience. 10+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in a technology or B2B environment. Experience working with internal communications to link product stories to company messages. Experience in automotive cockpit is a plus. Exceptional communication, presentation, project management, and analytical skills. Ability to understand, beyond surface level, the technical aspects of Visteon’s products to create higher-level product messaging. Ability to translate technical details into compelling and consumable product messaging and stories. Proven leadership to influence cross-functional teams and deliver results.
