**Job Summary**
Responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision of the purchasing function to drive best-in-class service levels, optimize inventory performance, and foster innovation across the supply chain. This leader will build collaborative partnerships across the organization to transform Purchasing into a strategic business enabler.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities**
+ Champions organizational transformation through influential leadership, building strong cross-functional relationships, and driving strategic communication both internally and externally.
+ Provides visionary leadership for the Purchasing team, aligning business strategy with supply chain excellence and future growth opportunities.
+ Architects and evolves the National Purchasing and Field Purchasing strategy to support organic growth and seamless integration of acquisitions.
+ Creates a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, leading root cause analysis, and driving innovative solutions.
+ Mentors and develops team members through empowerment, strategic guidance, and clear alignment to business objectives.
+ Shapes the evolution of Purchasing operations to build scalable, future-ready processes that support accelerated business growth.
+ Designs and champions best-in-class operational standards that drive efficiency and maximize value creation.
+ Creates and aligns strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the business portfolio, synthesizing insights from service levels, turn ratio, inventory optimization, and market dynamics to inform strategic direction.
+ Incorporates the transformation of forecasting and demand planning capabilities to balance optimal inventory levels with exceptional customer service.
+ Builds capability through strategic coaching and development of advanced purchasing strategies and inventory optimization techniques.
+ Cultivates strategic partnerships with Category Management and Supply Chain teams to optimize supplier relationships, enhance assortment strategies, and maximize value creation.

+ Leads through multiple layers of management - directs senior manager levels and individual contributors
+ Builds and maintains executive relationships across the organization

+ Operates with significant strategic latitude within organizational framework
+ Influences and shapes organizational strategy and direction
+ Sets vision and direction for procurement excellence
**Work Environment:**
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
+ Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time to build relationships, drive alignment, and ensure successful execution
**Education and Experience:**
+ Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

+ Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
+ 9+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, including significant leadership experience
+ Proven success leading strategic procurement transformation in large, complex organizations
+ Deep expertise in advanced purchasing strategies and supply chain optimization
+ Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
+ Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
