The Senior Director, Revenue Cycle Management directs, manages and implements programs to maximize cash collection for PM Pediatrics. They are responsible for all components of the revenue cycle process, from credentialing and enrollment to front desk activity, billing and coding, insurance and patient AR collections, and payment posting. They will support our urgent care and behavioral health offerings, both in-person and virtual. This position is a key leadership role reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and leading a team that supports all front end and back-office revenue cycle processes.DescriptionLead a department of 10+ individuals and offshore outsourcing partner with 100+ FTEs to perform all key functions of revenue cycle: authorization, billing, coding, patient collections, and payer collectionsDevelop Revenue Cycle strategy, including credentialing and enrollment processes, and establish a metric driven approach to managing revenue cycle functions, report on performance, and analyze data and KPIs to ensure functions are operating at maximum efficiency.Develop strategies across all functional departments to accelerate cash collections and reduce bad debt write-offs.Partner with operations and front desk teammates to share best practices and improve collections.Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators. Follows through by monitoring qualitative and quantitative performance to ensure achievement of targeted financial goals.Develops clear, concise operational plans that reflect key departmental goals and objectives. Develops clear business and project plans as required.Effectively manages projects to ensure timely achievement of objectives.Prepares and develops a variety of financial and operational reports to identify and monitor trends, activity, and report changes.Develops appropriate action plans to modify results in accordance with required outcomes.Maintains excellent patient, physician, and payer relationships through a proactive customer service-oriented approach. Resolves issues between parties. Refers major issues and provides feedback, analysis, and insight to executive team.QualificationsMinimum of five years of progressive experience in of the revenue cycle in a healthcare setting are required.Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar 3rd party software including off-shore partners is preferred. Ensures systems and processes are in place to maintain and support the use of the EHR.Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with other executives to achieve business objectives are required.Proven knowledge of all revenue cycle functions as well as Federal and State laws pertaining to the billing and collection for Urgent Care and physician services.Prior experience leading teams to improve processes around all revenue cycle functions.Experience in report generation, data collection systems and analysis techniques.Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
