**Your day at NTT DATA**
Supports the Managed Services Networking business strategy by developing, implementing, enabling and then owning specific Managed Network & Security Service Offers throughout the offer lifecycle. They will use their market focus and expertise, along with a sound technical understanding of networking and security technologies, to align the offers with the global product strategy, ensuring the Service Offers remain relevant, sustainable, compelling and competitive within the markets they have been designed to serve.
This leadership role is required to manage product portfolios specific to the business unit/division that falls within their span of control.
This role is also responsible for developing the product and/or service plans and roadmaps of an assigned portfolio of products and/or service offerings in the organization by managing the Service Offer Management function and a group of Senior Service Offer Management Managers.
The Senior Director, Service/Product Offer Management leads the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements in order to define product strategies and identify product opportunities.
**What you'll be doing**
**Own and drive product strategy**
Senior Directors of Service Offer Management are senior people within the company. Service Offer Managers conduct continuous research to grow their market knowledge and develop market insights. They apply this knowledge when formulating robust global product strategies for Service Offers in their portfolios, ensuring the continued relevance of the Service Offer, and ensuring the offer is market relevant, competitive, and lands in all required geographies.
**Identify and quantify market opportunities**
As part of owning and driving product strategy for the Service Offers in the Managed Network & Security portfolio, the Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services acts as the market expert within the company for that product category. Using a solid technical base, experience designing Managed Service and ITO solutions, combined with experience working closely with NTT DATA vendor partners and clients – ideally in a Pre-Sales or Solution Architecture role, and an understanding of the managed networking market in which the Services Offers operate, the Service Offer Manager identifies, prioritizes, defines and drives the product vision across the globe. This can include development of new Service Offers, as well as enhancements to existing offers.
**Minimum Viable Product Definitions**
Once market opportunities have been identified, the Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services will work to define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the enhancement or new Service Offering. This is a rapid process designed to quickly assess the enhancement or new Service Offer, so that go / no-go decisions can be made. Defining a product / offer MVP includes;
+ Outlining the scope of the enhancement or new Service Offering, including working closely with Technical Architecture and Operational teams to identify technical aspects of the offer
+ Identifying NTT DATA’s “right to play”, and the value proposition for the offer
+ Understanding and quantifying the market opportunity, both through market and competitor research, and through opportunity pipeline analysis.
+ Understanding the price the market will bear for the offer, and the cost to serve for NTT DATA, to determine whether the opportunity is worth pursuing
+ Testing the MVP with the market – through liaison with NTT DATA regional and country teams, and directly with clients
+ Formulate a recommendation
+ **MVP to Release** Once the decision to proceed has been made, work closely with the relevant stakeholders to define, document and industrialize the enhancement or new Service Offer. This will include;
+ Creation of collateral related to the offer, including client presentations, technical presentations and blueprints, service descriptions and training material
+ Finalization of offer pricing, in line with NTT DATA group pricing guidelines
+ Developing and defining product inclusions and limitations (ie; what’s included, what’s explicitly excluded), ensuring these are aligned with client requirements and market expectations
+ Overseeing and driving offer release activity, and enablement training for NTT DATA regions and countries
+ **Product / Offer lifecycle management and monitoring** The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services is responsible for the lifecycle of their offer portfolio, including defining and curating a backlog of enhancements in alignment with client requirements, changing market conditions and NTT DATA group strategy, as well as the retirement of features or entire offers.
For in-life offers, the Service Offer Manager works closely with Sales and Product Marketing colleagues to track opportunity pipelines for the Service Offers, ensuring offers are aligned with client requirements and market expectations. Working with others within Service Offer Management and within Go-To-Market functions in our regions, they develop and implement a global and regional go-to-market plan and strategy, assisting internal stakeholders to understand the offer positioning, key benefits and target clients. They conduct post-launch assessments and track customer satisfaction, feeding this information into the offer backlog. The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services conducts win-loss reviews based on sales opportunities and analyses the offer profit and loss over the short, medium and long term. Based on findings analysis, evaluation and audits, the Director, Service Offer Management, Networking & Security works with all areas of the business to improve, refine and continuously enhance the offer.
**Product Pricing Strategy**
Senior Directors, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services work closely with Finance and Commercial stakeholders to understand the full set of input costs and market factors influencing the price of their Service Offers, and for setting optimal offer pricing. They establish, develop and maintain product-pricing models. They contribute to concepts about promotional techniques and develop and maintain sales and distribution channels as appropriate.
**Collaboration**
The ability lead, combined with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders both within NTT DATA’s global business division, within NTT DATA regional and country teams, and with key vendor partners and clients, is critical to success in this role. The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services works closely with counterparts in NTT DATA regional and country teams to;
+ Ensure that Service Offers land in regions and countries successfully, acting as an offer champion and evangelising the offer in front of clients, or at trade shows (where required).
+ That Service Offers are targeted and fit for purpose in the key markets in which NTT DATA operates
+ That feedback and guidance from regional and country teams is captured and used to shape strategy for the product portfolio
**Sales Force Support**
The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services, in their role as a leading expert in Managed Network Services, will be required to liaise closely with regional and country sales teams to identify, qualify and help close client opportunities. This is particularly important for new Service Offerings, as the early learning identified through selling to and closing anchor tenants is key to enhancing and improving the offering as it is released.

They possess a good understanding of product / offer management and a deep understanding of the technologies related to their product / offer areas. They act as thought leader by researching and producing industry knowledge that is published and presented internally and externally.
They develop, grow and utilise domain level expertise including industry, markets and technology factors. These individuals display an in-depth understanding of the offer’s functionality and capability and how it is applied to solve client’s problems. The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, Managed Network & Security Services displays above average work efficiency with effective time and work management, dynamic prioritising and adaptability and flexibility.
