Senior Director, Strategy

ADP is hiring a  Sr. Director, Executive Strategy of Major Account Services (MAS). MAS is ADP's business unit focused on Human Capital Management (HCM) software solutions for the U.S. mid-market. The successful candidate will partner closely with ADP executives to create and continually improve our overall MAS Strategy. This person will lead strategic initiatives focusing on both growth opportunities and operational enhancements for the business. They will also work closely with ADP executives on ongoing execution of strategic initiatives. The role reports to the DVP of Strategy and Business Development for MAS/ Canada and is based in Parsippany, NJ.

 Responsibilities

Identify, develop and drive long-term strategies based on fact-based analyses, focusing both on growth opportunities and operational initiatives for the MAS portfolio Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify opportunities and risks. Partner with MAS functions and businesses to build strategies and successfully implement solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Bachelors degree required. Experience developing and evaluating strategies: identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting market research and analyses to test key hypotheses, developing execution plans. 7+ years experience in a strategy consulting firm (e.g. BCG, McKinsey, Bain, PWC, Deloitte) or an internal Corporate Strategy role within a F500 company, having achieved at least a team manager level.

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

Ability to travel 15% of time, depending on business needs. MBA and/or advanced degree preferred. Knowledge of the business services / enterprise software / human capital management market preferred. Comfort with reading and using financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements) Strong analytical skills (financial modeling, basic statistics, regression analyses, etc.) Known as a strong problem solver, who can independently take an ambiguous problem, develop a framework or methodology, and formulate a hypothesis or solution Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to influence key senior leader stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams. A person who thinks and acts at the senior level.
