The Sr. Director of Price Strategy is a cross-functional leader, collaborating within and beyond the Nordstrom Merchandising Group to drive the Merchandise Price Strategy and Execution plan for JWN. This integrated approach to the price strategy delivers banner-wide maximization of inventory and margin with an end-to-end perspective of financial outcomes.
The Sr. Director of Price Strategy will lead the Price Management, Competitive Intelligence, and Promotions team across Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack in developing and communicating meaningful and actionable price strategy and execution plans and insights that inform strategic pricing decisions that align to financial targets.
The Sr. Director of Price Strategy reports to the VP Financial Planning, Price, and Scaled Events and supports a team of direct reports.

Partner with GMM’s & VP’s of Assortment Planning across Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack by providing strategic insights to define product strategies that connect customer and financial plans through identifying future opportunities and trends to produce competitive advantage and superior results Collaborate with Sr. Director of Financial Planning to ensure exit strategies align to financial targets with a perspective of end-to-end impacts across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack Partner with marketing, store operations, and finance leadership to align on pricing strategies across all banner/channels, providing insight into customer and product strategies to guide execution plans Support the S&OE process by providing pre-season and in-season performance related to price execution strategies to influence and drive decision making aligned to customer demand Effectively balance objective information with subjective inputs to provide insight to opportunities for improving sales, inventory management and profitability to the merchandising teams Guide and ensure Directors of Price appropriately direct their teams to develop executable markdown plans for Nordstrom Stores, N.com, Rack Stores, Rack.com, and Canada channels Ensure execution of strategies within the boundaries of financial plans with clear communication of trade-offs and impacts on inventory and financial metrics, while bringing forward opportunities to improve future product assortments Direct and manage performance, analyze scenario and ad hoc analysis to identify business risks and opportunities and recommending course of action to reach goals and optimize performance to influence the development of customer and product strategies Develop and lead business process improvements by leveraging reporting and analysis, ensuring budget disciplines and consistent price management practices Direct and lead special projects as necessary including leading cost accounting transition with teams Act as a change leader to support company initiatives and ensure adoption by merchandising team Hire, develop, and train new financial managers in the division, support onboarding of new assortment planner leadersYou own this if you have…

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $180,000 - $290,000 annuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
