Overview:
+ The Senior Director of Accounting will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy while overseeing the accounting operations. You will manage the consolidation of financials across our diverse brands and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. You will collaborate with executive leadership to drive growth and ensure financial integrity across our multi-location retail business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ This role reports to the CFO and is part of the senior leadership team responsible for defining and implementing the company strategy.
+ Develop and implement accounting and financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
+ Oversee 2 Area Controllers, 2 Area Assistant Controllers, and a team of 40 accounting professionals.
+ Lead the Accounting team in delivering the company's Accounting and Finance strategy and preparing accurate financial reports and forecasts.
+ Oversee general accounting activities, including transaction recording, account classifications, and balance reconciliations, ensuring adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
+ Manage relationships with internal senior leadership and external stakeholders, including auditors and investors.
+ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies and controls.
+ Oversee GL Accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, lease accounting, payroll, inventory management, treasury, and consolidation reporting to the parent company.
+ Consolidate financials and corporate entities in both US GAAP and IFRS.
+ Form and lead project teams, delegate responsibilities and conduct meetings to achieve project goals on schedule.
+ Prepare and present management reports to senior leadership, including monthly accounting results.
+ Support the development and implementation of accounting systems and controls, oversee the documentation of accounting procedures, and ensure system changes are effectively implemented to support business units and new initiatives.
+ Lead Controllers and other support staff as needed for department operations, fostering employee engagement, morale, and motivation.
+ Educate and train business partners on accounting matters to enhance departmental accounting knowledge.
+ Liaise with Internationally Based Parent company, and sign off on annual audits.
+ Complete oversight of all Financial Reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $185000.00 - $210000.00
Full-time, regular status staff who have worked for60 days are eligible for the medical, dental, vision, pre-tax spendingaccounts, life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), anddisability insurance benefits
