Senior Director of Provider Compensation – Remote (NY/NJ area preferred)

Primary Responsibilities: 

Lead newly centralized provider compensation team overseeing 5-8 employees responsible for all provider compensation modeling, forecasting and payment administration Calculate and provide monthly compensation accrual estimates for month end reporting  Create monthly provider compensation forecast reconciliation materials and lead performance readout with executive leadership team  Provide provider compensation forecast inputs during quarterly budget / re-forecasting cycles Work with People team, medical leadership and operations to evolve compensation model and align on consistent specialty-level models across multiple NY care delivery organizations  Evaluate market performance benchmarks and provider improvement opportunities  Create and lead NY/NJ compensation committee to serve as governing body to review and approve compensation models and exceptions Evaluate and implement a vendor technology solution to manage payout calculations, improve workflow efficiencies and provide greater compensation transparency to providers Proactively identify any existing compensation model shortcomings and propose adjustments to executive leadership team Work with medical leadership to communicate compensation calculations and models to providers

Required Qualifications: 

8+ years finance or equivalent experience  Experience leading provider or other variable individual compensation model Advanced financial modeling and forecasting experience (detailed multi product/service line revenue and expense models) Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and lead projects working with leaders across multiple functions Demonstrated near expert in executive presence and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:   

Proven knowledge of wRVU productivity and healthcare reimbursement Experience leading and managing teams supporting multiple business lines Reside in NJ or NY to be near the offices

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $147,300 to $282,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
