Job Summary

The Senior Director of Quality Assurance, North Americas is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) supporting Supply Chain, R&D, Quality Control Centers (QCCs) and Field Operations.  This position will lead a team of Product Managers and technicians responsible for ensuring Papa John’s food safety and quality standards throughout our North America Supply Chain and QCC operations (fresh dough manufacturing and product distribution centers) while supporting continuous improvement in our QCC Operations. 

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Responsible for the development and implementation of Food Safety Quality Assurance processes to ensure compliance to Papa John’s standards and regulatory requirements for suppliers, QCC Operations and restaurants.  

Ensures supplier compliance to all product specifications through process control evaluation and analytical analysis. 

Ensures enterprise risk management process execution and compliance including product recovery/recall. 

Ensures compliance to comprehensive supplier qualification process for new suppliers and/or new product launches. 

Team is responsible for development and final review of all specifications for production/manufacturing equipment in QCCs and Management. 

Development of an updated system-wide field FSQA complaint tracking process ensuring timely communication, follow-up and resolution. 

Responsible for all aspects of QA Lab including monthly product compliance testing. 

Assist R&D in the development and implementation process of new product development. 

Assist in the development and implementation of innovative production technologies in QCCs and supplier plant operations. 

Ensures regulatory requirement compliance within QCC operations and Supply Chain. 

Develop and manage department budget.  

Develop and maintain Animal Welfare Policy. 

Establish department goals and objectives with cross functional alignment and company goals. 

Manage team performance in a fast-paced high performance work culture.

Partner with International FSQA team to drive global performance, best practice sharing and alignment where possible.
