The Sr Director of Retail Finance position is responsible for devising, tracking, and analyzing key components of the company’s P&L including sales, gross margin, store payroll, supply chain, inventory, and occupancy costs. Additionally, this role supports the Real Estate organization in the creation of store pro-forma financials, monitoring new store capital spend, and analyzing existing store portfolio. This role will work closely with business partners across the organization to assist in strategic analysis and decision-making, driving financial performance and operational excellence. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the development and management of sales, margin, and store payroll budgets and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial projections.Partner with senior leadership to ensure budgets and forecast align with corporate goals and objectives.Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners through the Company, including (but not limited to) Merchandising, Stores, and Real Estate to support financial planning and analysis and serve as a trusted advisor offering financial expertise and guidance.Responsible for financial planning and analysis of supply chain expenses, including but not limited to labor, supplies, and store contract hauling.Partner with Merchandising & Planning on inventory analysis and alignment to financial projections, including partnership with Treasury on impacts to working capital driven by General Merchandising and Custom Spaces.Responsible for Custom Spaces planning and analysis, including key drivers of consolidated corporate eliminations projections.Continuously improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to enhance insights, efficiency, and accuracy.Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline financial operations.Lead special projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing financial performance and operational effectiveness.Provide support for financial reports, Long Range Plan, Board of Directors meetings, and external financial presentationsCreates and maintains financial and operational models to support and forecast numerous aspects of the business, including rolling long-term projections.Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer informationPerforms other requested tasks and duties

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience, Education, Certifications, Affiliations and Other Requirements:
Experience: 10+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A); retail and inventory planning experience a plusEducation: Quantitative undergraduate degree, preferably with concentration in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA a plusStrong understanding of corporate finance and a very solid understanding of accountingDemonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelingExperience with MicroStrategy, Adaptive Planning, MultiviewBased in Dallas/Ft. Worth areaAbility to travel 10% a year, based on the business needsAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerIs committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
