SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Director of Security. 

Responsibilities

As the Senior Director of Security, you will lead the company’s security programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal regulations and maintaining the highest standards of security across multiple locations and programs. Reporting directly to the President, you will play a critical role in protecting our personnel, assets, and information while supporting our growth strategy. As a leader at SPA, your role will evolve as we continue to scale.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Security Program Leadership: Oversee and manage the company’s security programs across multiple facilities and CAGE codes, ensuring compliance with the NISPOM, ICDs, and other applicable regulations.Industrial Security Oversight: Oversee the company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO) for the primary CAGE code and manage the performance of FSOs at other locations.Personnel Security: Oversee all personnel security clearance processes, ensuring timely processing of investigations, adjudications, and reinvestigations in coordination with government agencies.Classified Program Support: Provide guidance on the establishment and maintenance of classified programs, including SCIF management and secure communication systems.Insider Threat Program: Lead the company’s Insider Threat Program, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and fostering a culture of security awareness.Compliance and Audits: Serve as the primary interface for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) audits and inspections. Ensure the company maintains "Superior" or "Commendable" ratings for all security programs.Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures tailored to the company’s unique mission and growth trajectory.Training and Awareness: Oversee security training programs, ensuring all employees are educated on security requirements, responsibilities, and best practices.Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and mitigate security risks to protect personnel, information, and infrastructure.Liaison: Serve as the primary security liaison with government agencies, subcontractors, and industry partners.Ability to work collaboratively and partner effectively with others, and have strong presentation skills, and responsibility for gathering, reporting and tracking key metrics Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in security management, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex security programs.Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.Certifications: ISP, CPP, or similar security certifications or award (e.g., Cogswell) strongly preferred.In-depth understanding of the NISPOM, ICDs, and other relevant regulations. Experience with SCIF accreditation and management is highly desirable.Proven ability to lead and mentor security teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and government.
