As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Wealth Management, Wealth Management Advisor & Investments Technology Team, you lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple departments, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise is applied cross-functionally to drive the adoption and implementation of technical methods within various teams and aid the firm in remaining at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.

Advisor and Investments Tech & Core Data (A&IT) is a part of Wealth Management in the Asset & Wealth Management line of business. The A&IT organization is responsible for delivering and supporting technology solutions enabling the front office of the Global Private  Bank. In this role, you’ll partner with many senior leaders to drive technology roadmaps, remove impediments of the engineering teams, while continuously innovating on the latest trends and advancing the software applications to the next level of design and target state architectures. You should be a highly motivated individual with effective communication, architecture, and engineering experience, with  strong ability to develop relationships, influence and drive progress.

Job responsibilities

Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives Manages multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition,  5+ year  of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization Experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of technologists Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and loosely coupled systems Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and other automation technologies Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability Experience with cloud tech (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managed services Extensive practical DevOps, DataOps, SecOps, AIOps, and other operational domains experience Experience in ensuring highly available, scalable systems through engineering and operations best practices Demonstrated proven track record of streamlining operations to improve efficiency and reduce waste Deep understanding of AI-driven operations (AIOps), ML pipeline optimization (MLOps), and financial cloud operations 
(FinOps). Familiarity with modern observability stacks (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management 
frameworks (ITIL, SRE best practices).
