Provide strategic leadership for the following departments and services: Center for Learning and Teaching, PLACE, Military Support and Recruitment, International Student Services, and New Students Orientation and Transitions. Oversee alumni and constituent engagement efforts and programs for the College. Design, organize, and facilitate programs that enhance alumni volunteer involvement in College initiatives, especially in relation to career development, outreach, and recruitment. The Position Key Responsibilities: * Develop an organized alumni engagement program for the College - to include potential elements such as Maroon Mentors, Coming Home (alumni speakers series concept), Roanoke Recruit, the Long Maroon Line, etc. - in order to enhance relationships between the College and its alumni. * Supervise the Director of Career Exploration (PLACE). * Supervise the Director of Academic Services for Retention and Academic Coaching (CLT). * Supervise the Director of International Student Services. * Supervise the Military Support and Recruitment Coordinator. * Supervise the Director of New Student Orientation and Transitions. * Identify and enlist alumni volunteers for appropriate engagement opportunities with Career Services Office. * Act as liaison between Resource Development and Academic Affairs to help enhance programmatic awareness of engagement efforts, especially in regards to Maroon Mentors program. * Network with academic departments to determine needs for alumni volunteers to work with students and departmental leaders. * Act as liaison to Resource Development, advising the department on alumni engagement issues in the best interest of Roanoke College. Suggest strategies to address engagement opportunities. * Act as partner with Academic Affairs leadership to address ways in which College alumni can enhance the Whole Person Initiative. * Represent College at certain events where strong potential for alumni networking and recruitment exists. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: * Master's degree in related field, such as education * Ten years of experience in Higher Education, working directly with student programs required * Successful experience leading teams in Higher Education * Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
