Grundfos Water Utility is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Strategy and Transformation. As a Senior Director, you will join our esteemed WU Leadership team and report directly to our Water Utility divisional CEO.

**What is the job about?**
Join our team as a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Director shaping and implementing the Water Utilities strategy. You will be instrumental in driving our growth through strategic execution, delivering short-term results and long-term transformational initiatives that directly impact our divisional growth and success. With a focus on Strategy deployment , transformation and mergers and acquisitions, we seek someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, effective collaboration skills (across functions and geographies), and a solution-oriented approach. Building relationships internally and externally and influencing at all levels will be crucial. If you excel in leading transformational journeys and defining clear M&A portfolios then we want to hear from you.
**Your main responsibilities:**
+ Collect market trends, assess the competitive landscape, and identify white spaces for organic and inorganic growth opportunities, presenting them to the Water Utility Leadership Team.
+ Continuously refresh the Water Utility strategy, developing an execution roadmap with clear milestones, timelines, and governance mechanisms, aiming for target topline and EBIT growth.
+ Support the WU Leadership team members in developing their functional strategies, providing a clear execution roadmap for the three years strategic plan deployment cycles.
+ Manage internal communication to ensure all Water Utility colleagues understand and align with the strategy, aiding in the achievement of short and long-term ambitions.
+ Own and drive X-Matrix with the rest of the WU leadership team. Drive the annual strategic planning cycle, including business review meetings with Group Management and other reporting obligations.
+ Build, manage, and execute the M&A portfolio in coordination with the WU Leadership team and group functions, facilitating inorganic growth ambitions.
+ Lead the integration and management of acquired companies, joint ventures, partnerships, and other inorganic growth drivers to exceed value creation goals.
+ Execute key transformations, choices, and enablers outlined in the Water Utility strategy.
+ Lead the transformation of core functions (Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Product Development) by optimizing structure, design, investment, and KPIs in collaboration with other WU LT partners.
+ Build a high-caliber team focused on inorganic growth, strategy development and deployment, and complex problem solving across the value chain, with the potential for scaling up or down as needed. (Initial team of 3 FTEs with continuous up and down scaling depending on the need.)
**Your background**
We imagine that you have:
+ Master’s Degree in Business administration or relevant field
+ 10+ years of relevant functional and senior leadership experience in a multicultural and multi-national environment.
+ 10+ years of experience in water industry with deep knowledge of target markets in USA and Europe.
+ Ability to conceptualize and deploy entrepreneurial management in a structured and rigorous approach
+ Transformational leadership capabilities to develop and commercialize new-to-company and new-to-market offerings
+ Proven experience developing and executing key strategic initiatives within a complex/matrix business environment
+ Strong background in leading, coaching and developing director-level leaders
+ Extensive strategy development and deployment experience
+ Experience with M&A and transformation skills
+ Extensive project management skills
+ Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
+ Fluent in spoken and written English

This division focuses primarily on two industry verticals: Ground Water Intake (GWI) to bring water from underground to where it is needed and the Municipal segment serving a multitude of large and small municipal institutions in centralized and decentralized settings.

+ While we offer a hybrid work set up, the ideal candidate is preferably based in Houston, Texas, along with the WU leadership team
+ This position comes with approximately 35-40% travel and as a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
