The Plant Engineering Discipline Engineers will be part of a diverse technical team of dedicated engineers and scientists responsible for the development of new plant engineering proposals, early works agreements and new product developments.
In this position Discipline Engineers will support the application of GEH new plant technology on different opportunities. You will be responsible for proposal technical write-ups, engineering estimates, schedule development and risk assessments. When necessary, they will coordinate with discipline managers within the engineering organization to understand departures from standard products to estimate costs, cycles and risk for new plant opportunities. In addition, you will be responsible for on-time and on-budget delivery of early works projects and new product developments. They will partner with internal and external technical teams while supporting proposal and/or early works projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
As a Discipline Engineer, you will:
Report solid line to the Plant Engineering Manager and dotted line to the Discipline Engineering Manager.You will be part of an engineering team that assures proposals and early works packages are aligned with our standard offering. You will identify any technical departures and work with engineering teams to provide costs, cycle times and risks for the planned offering.You will establish and maintain effective discipline specific design interfaces and document these in deliverables that become part of proposals and/or contracts.Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal discipline engineering teams.Interface with external partners, customers, and other applicable country specific regulatory agencies, as required on technical issues.Work with proposal and early works teams to build estimates, schedules, and identify risks associated with different opportunities.Provide guidance to external partner engineering resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positions.Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities.Protect the Intellectual Property rights of GEVH.Support GEVH initiatives, corrective action, process improvement and simplification.Ensure adherence to GEVH’s standards for nuclear safety and compliance.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related Science or technical discipline.At least 8 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience.At least 4 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power industry.Eligibility Requirements:
The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to U.S. export-controlled technology. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 3/17/2025.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
