Overview TRC is seeking a Senior Electrical Distribution Designer / Team Leader to join our growing Power Distribution Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and experience in the design, construction, and leadership of Power Sector projects. Our engineering staff provide support for permitting, design, and construction of a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public sector/private clients. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, presentations, analytical, professional judgment, and team building skills. Responsibilities Perform detailed QAQC of overhead and/or underground electric distribution projects. This work includes the review of field notes, drawings, specifications, and estimates as defined by the client's scope of work document. The QAQC individual may be responsible to provide direction, training, supervision and guidance of other individuals in this job group of equal or lower grade as directed by the Manager. Review designs to ensure compliance with client's construction standards. Review construction drawings for neatness and design accuracy. Review of Compatible/Macro Units within client's GIS/WMS systems. Review engineering calculations (pole loading, pole boring, guying, transformer sizing, conductor loading / sagging, etc.) Review other associated paperwork such as Bill of Materials, Pole Boring, Pole Loading, guying documents, along with other requirements deemed necessary by clients. Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and Industry/Company standards covering the assigned work. Review any major documentation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions. Assist in design development to meet project schedules. Identify design issues and provide constructive feedback and training to the design team. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering/Design or related field. 10+ years of experience in distribution design at senior level preferred. Working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to the QA/QC technical matters in Electrical Engineering, GIS systems, CADD. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
