Job Summary:

The Senior eCommerce Operations Manager is a critical leadership role and will be responsible for all aspects of the eCommerce operation. This position is fully responsible for growing eCommerce revenue top/bottom-line growth and setting the strategic vision. The position will achieve operational excellence through coaching and mentoring the team, driving employee engagement, and building leadership bench strength. The Senior eCommerce Operations Manager collaborates effectively with all departments and serves as the Organization’s Subject Matter Expert on eCommerce.

This position is tasked with ensuring the eCommerce department drives measurable portion of the organization annual revenue by consistently meeting KPI’s that drive performance and align with the organization’s strategic goals.

Job Description

Essential Functions

1. Achieves Revenue-Driven Goals

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the eCommerce Department.Leads the development of strategies to enhance customer experience, maximize eCommerce revenue, and streamline operations.Sets long-term visions, refining our operating procedures, and managing budgets to ensure scalable and efficient growth.Maintains and adjusts operating budget, manages expenses based on changes in internal or external factors, and communicates budgetary performance.Builds workflows and processes to optimize the number of listings needed to meet sales goals and revenue benchmarks, adjusting as necessary to meet fluctuating demands.Analyzes performance regularly to ensure that listing activities directly support achieving the department’s revenue contribution goals.

2. Strategic Leadership

Leads the development and execution of comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the organization’s growth and profitability objectives.Establishes eCommerce best practices and foster customer relationships to drive the business.Leads change management initiatives to adapt to market trends, technological advancements, and evolving customer needs.

3. Operational Excellence

Oversees day-to-day management of the eCommerce platform, ensuring all operational goals are met.Develops workflows and processes to maximize efficiency and sales performance through effective pricing and inventory strategies.Leverages analytics and KPI’s to identify operational inefficiencies and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.Partners with IT, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment of operations with organizational goals and customer-centric initiatives.

4. Collaboration and Cross-Functionality

Collaborates cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the eCommerce business, including managing operational budgets and closely monitoring KPIs to achieve sales and profitability targets.Manages relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and platforms to enhance eCommerce capabilities.

5. Team Leadership and Accountability

Builds a high-performing team through effective hiring, training, and coaching.Holds team members accountable for their roles and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Stays connected with industry trends and innovations, implementing new initiatives to achieve business goals.Identifies new areas of eCommerce opportunities. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and technologies to improve eCommerce merchandising practices.

7. Inventory and Product Management

Oversees products and inventory to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information, pricing, and availability on the eCommerce platform.

8. Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.A combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of required education.

Experience

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience managing eCommerce department with proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets is required.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.Management experience in process improvement, Kaizen, or Lean/Six Sigma is highly preferred.Strong understanding of eCommerce marketplace dynamics and trends.Prior experience managing individuals with barriers to employment.

Knowledge and Skills

Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.Strong ability to work cross functionally within the organization.Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of eCommerce sales channels, SAS applications and CRM solutions.Extensive knowledge in eCommerce best practices, software, trends and KPI.Knowledge in KPI development, deployment, and SOP implementation.Ability to implement strategic plans and objectives.Exceptional leadership, coaching and communication skills.Customer driven and able to turn feedback into actionable improvement.Highly organized with excellent planning, collaboration and team building skills.Capable of working with limited supervision and an ability to meet deadlines.Holds themselves and their team accountable for achieving goals and addressing challenges directly.Maintains a safe work environment.Able to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite. Ability to stand and move around for extended periods, lift objects up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, turning and repetitive motions.Ability to work in a diverse environment with different cultural backgrounds and experiences.
