Role Overview:
As a Senior EDI Development Analyst at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our electronic data interchange (EDI) systems. You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of EDI integrations with business partners, vendors, and internal applications. By ensuring timely and accurate data exchange, you will directly contribute to our supply chain efficiency, operational success, and overall member satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
EDI Development & Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain EDI maps, integrations, and workflows. Monitor EDI transactions to identify and resolve issues promptly. Ensure compliance with industry-standard EDI formats, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
Business Partner Collaboration:
Work with trading partners to establish and test new EDI connections. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues between internal systems and external partners. Document trading partner requirements and agreements.System Optimization:
Analyze existing EDI processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Develop and implement solutions that improve data accuracy, system efficiency, and scalability. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the reliability and security of EDI systems.Support & Leadership:
Provide guidance to junior analysts and serve as a subject matter expert on EDI. Conduct root-cause analysis for EDI failures and implement preventive measures. Assist in EDI-related audits and compliance initiatives.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in EDI development, mapping, and support. Proficiency with EDI tools, platforms, and translators (e.g., Cleo, OpenText). Strong knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML). Experience with EDI mapping, scripting, and integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Familiarity with APIs, web services, and data exchange protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the retail and grocery industry.Experience with 800 series EDI documents (850, 810, 855, 856, 875).Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.Familiarity with cloud-based EDI solutions and integrations.This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $95,500.00.
