About our Team

We are looking for a Senior Editor to join our editorial team in Singapore, covering developments in a portfolio of petrochemical markets.

About the Role

You will assess prices on a daily or weekly basis, produce market intelligence and in-depth analytical content. You thrive on breaking exclusive news and being the first to get the information out to the market. The role will be investigating and explaining what this means for our customers.


Responsibilities

Cover a portfolio of petrochemical markets in Asia - produce daily and/or weekly price assessments.Meet regular and timely deadlines with the highest level of accuracy and balance.Write insightful news and analysis explaining price trends and market developments for the regionChase stories proactively across your portfolioHave an active network of contacts from who you gather pricing data and market informationTrack changes in demand, supply, trade flows as well as related markets and contribute to updating relevant databasesReport on complex topics in an engaging and timely manner through using relevant data visualizations that add value to your content and our subscribersDeliver presentations at conferences/client visits including business travel to industry events and execute on collaborative efforts with other teams such as sales, marketing and events.Research and launch new assessmentsContribute to thought leadership content through channels such as podcasts and videosMay be required to mentor

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of industry or reporting experienceHave academic qualifications in journalism, chemical engineering, business/finance, economics or similarBe able to write and communicate with clarityHave knowledge or interest in market economicsHave a high level of numerical accuracy and excellent analytical skillsHave excellent inter-personal and communication skillsExperience of working with Excel/Excel-based business toolsBe a passionate, curious, high-performing, accountable team player
