At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.
A Day In The Life Of A Senior EHS Manager
As a Senior Manager you’ll play a pivotal role in driving compliance and continual improvements in our environmental, health and safety performance by collaborating with the site ELT and other SME across the Teva EHS community. This will be including development and promotion of EHS system, KPIs, policies and procedures, analysis of metrics, internal and external reporting, training, communication, and audit of effectiveness of our risk management programmes. You will be taking a leading role in enhancing the overall site safety culture resulting in management engagement, employee involvement and reduction in the unsafe conditions and behaviours. In our experience, no two days will be the same; everyday will bring opportunity to learn and grow via on-the-job experience and structured training to address any knowledge gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure analysis of data is used to drive improvement in the EHS management system.
• Develop EHS management systems to support enhanced EHS performance.
• Provide oversight to implementation of EHS management systems and drive risk reduction programmes including Occupational Health, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene and Chemical Management.
• Assist and guide internal customers with regards to EHS issues, including any projects, new materials and complaints.
• Support complex incident investigations to ensure identification of root cause and development of suitable corrective actions.
• Lead audit readiness and undertake regular inspections and an annual review to support compliance assurance.
• Create and deliver EHS training courses to enhance competence and empowerment of the employees.
• Chair site EHS Committee and ensure effective communication withing the EHS network on and above site.
• Ensure compliance to the Teva and regulatory requirements including the evolving ESG agenda.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience of management systems such as ISO 54001; ISO 14001; OHSAS18001.
• Previous experience in highly regulated environments (preferably pharmaceutical / GMP).
• Level 6 EHS Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
Good to have: Member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (ideally CMIOSH) and member of Institute of Environmental management and Assessment.

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
