Your Role:
Sr. EHS Specialist provides Safety/Security & Environmental and Industrial (Occupational) Hygiene, assistance to site management in the prevention of occupational injuries. This includes but is not limited to illnesses and emissions to the environment. The Sr. EHS Specialist position possesses most technical skills of Safety Specialists/Engineers, Environmental Specialists/Engineers and Industrial (Occupational) Hygienists. This position is dedicated to single site support.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Ensure site personnel are competent in performing Risk Assessments and ensuring needed Risk Assessments are completedIdentify risk reduction methods and work with site management in implementing those methodsConduct EHS related trainingConduct safety inspections and ensure site personnel are competent in performing safety inspectionsInteract routinely with site management, supervision, and personnel on EHS related mattersPrepare EHS compliance related reports and correspondence, both internally and externally (regulatory bodies)Prepare for and ready to respond in the event of emergencyEnsure site’s EHS Management System is in place and functioning effectively to include:Policy, Planning, Objectives, Implementation and OperationHazard Identification, Risk Assessment & ControlLegal and Other RequirementsOperational Control, Structure and ResponsibilityTraining, Awareness and CompetenceConsultation and CommunicationDocumentation, Document and Data ControlEmergency Preparedness, Response, Checking and Corrective ActionPerformance Management and MonitoringAccidents, Incidents, Non-conformances, & Corrective & Preventive ActionAudit, Records, Record Management and Management Review
