We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Analytical Engineer specializing in Time Domain Analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing complex calculations related to Insulation Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics. Additionally, the candidate should possess extensive software proficiency in PSCAD and EMTP-RV.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed electrical analysis utilizing time domain techniques to evaluate system performance and identify potential issues.Perform complex calculations related to Insulation Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics.Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize system performance and mitigate risks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and support in electrical analysis and troubleshooting.Prepare comprehensive reports documenting analysis findings, recommendations, and design modifications.Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to time domain analysis.This position allows for a flexible hybrid schedule with a mix of in-office days and working remotely.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (background in Power/Power Systems) and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.5+ years of experience in Insulations Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics.Proficiency in utilizing software tools such as PSCAD and EMTP-RV to perform complex electrical calculations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.Experience in the power utility or energy industry is highly desirable.Professional certifications related to electrical analysis and time domain techniques are a plus.Sargent & Lundy is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
