Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF (Radio Frequency) engineering, with extensive experience in software-defined radio (SDR) and developing RF products from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of RF components and systems, including antennas, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and filters.Conduct RF simulation and modeling to predict performance and optimize designs as needed.Support existing designs by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and addressing obsolescence problems.Develop detailed specifications and documentation for RF systems and components.Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI and environmental requirements.Create and implement test plans for RF systems and components, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.Perform RF testing and troubleshooting using advanced measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.Utilize best practices in RF test automation.Analyze test data and refine designs to meet performance criteria.Lead the development of RF products from concept to production.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technology and software-defined radio.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.Over 7 years of experience in RF design and engineering, preferably in radio test or avionics.Proven experience in designing software-defined radios (SDRs).Proficiency with design tools such as Altium Designer or Microwave Office.Strong skills in using RF testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.Demonstrated success in leading RF projects from concept to production.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and reliability.Experience with RF simulation tools like LTSpice, ADS, or CST.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Experience with CAD tools for RF design.Knowledge of regulatory requirements for RF products.Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) techniques.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.00/hr.
