Design control systems and electrical control panels Design electrical wiring diagrams, pneumatic and hydraulic piping diagrams Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) software Test, debug and provide installation support for control systems Support installation of tools and equipment Provide technical support for production staff training Travel to plant sites Organize resources to achieve project objectives Coordinate activities of a small group of designers

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering AutoCAD proficiency 8 years of experience electrical design or writing software for automation equipment Strong knowledge of the following: PLC ladder logic, Siemens PLCs, Rockwell / Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc PLCs, robotic controllers, vision systems, servo drive hardware / software or HMI design tools Equipment troubleshooting experience Experience designing electrical schematics Powertrain experience
