ENERCON's Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team based in our Kennesaw, GA (HQ), FT Worth, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Chattanooga, TN, Birmingham, AL, Overland Park, KS or Naperville, IL office locations. This position can be Full Time, Part Time or LTLB. From reviewing and checking designs to preparing design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates, this position plays a pivotal part in ensuring quality standards and success of all assigned projects.
Responsibilities Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplinesParticipate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractorsPrepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimatesMake recommendations based on knowledge and experience Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projectsManage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversightPrepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids and select equipmentDevise new approaches to technical problems Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 7 years’ with power system design experienceExperience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systemsProficient in Word and ExcelGood writing, presentation and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsWilling to travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-upAbility to travel between 10-15 % of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeksPosition may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a timeProfessional Engineering License preferred#LI-SH7
