Our team of multi-disciplinary experts is seeking an experienced Electrical Professional Engineer who will utilize their design expertise to dream big ideas on various and complex water and wastewater utility projects. We’d rely on your collaboration skills to lead our team members, and coordinate interdisciplinary work between teammates, for both local and remote projects. The projects associated with this position will focus on electrical distribution systems primarily for water and wastewater treatment-related facilities which typically include process treatment structures and buildings. By you taking the lead with generating and reviewing electrical equipment drawings, specifications, and approving vendor submittals we will continue to ensure the solid relationship our clients have come to expect from Jacobs. You’ll also assist in a proactive manner on internal as well as external business opportunities. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and ability to be licensed in multiple states
• Substantial years of experience in professional design of electrical systems associated with water projects
• Low and medium voltage power distribution experience
• Solid understanding of applicable industry electrical codes, and standard practices, including the National Electrical (NEC) and NFPA requirements
• Hands-on knowledge and design proficiency in electrical standards, codes, and vendor equipment options
• Electrical system testing and commissioning experience
• Arc flash experience
• Familiarity with NFPA 820 requirements
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Instrumentation and Control system design experience
• LEED or similar sustainability experience
• Experience with renewable energy systems like wind and solar
