We offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office. Occasional site visits may be necessary.
About the opportunity\:
We are looking to recruit and develop career minded people to bolster our well-established and growing multi-discipline engineering delivery capability to meet opportunities in the nuclear and defence industries. Our projects include developing solutions through all stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear bases.
You will preferably have experience of working in the maritime, nuclear and/or defence industries, but also those with relevant industrial design experience looking to work in a technically challenging environment
Leading/working with a team of EC&I engineers/designers in developing engineering deliverables throughout various stages of the project. Prepare drawings, functional and technical specifications, and contract documents. Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications. Interfaces and co-ordinates with Safety Case and System Engineering teams. Experience in LV cable sizing and design and using cable sizing software (AMTECH). Experience in electrical building services. Experience in a contracting environment, relevant site experience. Capable of obtaining relevant Security clearance. Must be a sole UK national. Willing to travel occasionally which will be expensed.Desirable
Experience in HV distribution and design and using cable sizing software (ETAP). Experience in using AutoCAD/Revit software. Experience of working in a regulated industryOur Culture\:
