Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems and components, with a focus on magnetic components such as transformers, inductors, and reactors. This role involves performing detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications, using computer-assisted engineering and design software, and directing manufacturing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical systems and components, focusing on magnetic components such as transformers, inductors, and reactors.Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.Perform detailed analyses to assess the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Research and test manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally in the manufacturing sector, focusing on magnetic components.Strong understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.Proficiency in SolidWorks and other engineering design software.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical design experience from scratch (everything is custom designed per client).Prior experience within a manufacturing environment.SolidWorks Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, Inventor.Work Environment
We are committed to retaining and growing our team, looking to build new engineers from the ground up and keep them long-term. This role requires an onsite presence 5 days a week, with the following schedule: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69
