Wood is currently recruiting for a talented SR Electrical Lead Engineer – Clean Energy to join our diverse team of professionals and help deliver and grow our offering to our current clients and wider renewables market. 

Ideally, the role will be seated in our Austin, TX or Atlanta, GA offices, but we will consider qualified applicants from any US city where Wood has a local office.

The SR Electrical Lead Engineer – Clean Energy will oversee all electrical engineering scopes of work supporting the delivery of multidisciplinary projects through their feasibility, pre-construction and/or construction phases with a specific focus on the electrical design aspects of projects. She/He will act as Wood’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical engineering, managing projects as a technical advisor and/or Owner’s Engineer. This role will have a focus on all Clean Energy technologies including but not limited to solar PV, energy storage and microgrids, onshore and offshore wind, long duration storage and hybrid projects. 

The Wood EE team provides the following services in all renewables including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, energy storage and microgrid, and high voltage transmission: Owner’s engineering, including preliminary design, and third party design review of electrical plans, specifications, calculations, and studies; interconnection services including grid interconnection studies and applications, technical due diligence of new construction and repowering, including construction monitoring, in support of project financing, for developers, lenders, investors, and buy/sell mergers and acquisitions. Our teams apply significant experience in regulatory issues as applied in interconnection, grid operations, and transmission planning.
