Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll have provide engineering leadership and expertise to support new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools. You will also serve as an EMC compliance resource to the electrical engineering team. **What You’ll Work On** + Develops new design features as part of existing systems. Delivers engineering information and solutions which adds value to the decision-making process. Modifies existing designs to create test prototypes for external lab testing. + Identifies and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. + Performs lay out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function. Utilizes human body phantoms for compliance testing. + Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities and remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams developing and executing tests, performing root cause analysis and participating in investigations. Provide hands-on support for a broad range of lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator) and attends external EMC test laboratories to support product testing. + Initiates the planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing of engineering work, and may oversee the performance of less experienced engineers. Performs technical studies. Generates and executes design verification protocols for compliance testing (e.g., EMC, Safety, RFID, Coexistence); conducts measurements, documents, and tabulates results, and provides design verification reports. + Subject matter expert and provides direction on issues, topics, and/or project leadership. Provides technical guidance for EMC Compliance standards to less experienced engineers. (IEC 60601-1-2, ISO 14708-1, ISO 14708-3, EN 301 489-17) + Applies theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles. Helps establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on "design for manufacturability". + Exposure to scripting or programming in an embedded firmware environment is a plus. + 9. RF Engineering background is a plus (matching network component selection, antenna design, Ansys HFSS or similar) **Required Qualifications** + B.S. in Electrical engineering or related engineering field. + Minimum of 6 years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed. + Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, database management and specialized applications. + Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. + Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. + Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. + Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
