Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in harness design and routing for satellite programs. The ideal candidate will currently have active Secret Clearance and be eligible to obtain Top Secret Clearance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing harness routing solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, problem-solving, and expertise in electrical harness design for aerospace applications. Job Duties: · Develop 3D routing or 2D harness designs for satellite harnessing applications. · Propose innovative solutions to address design challenges and improve performance. · Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project development and ensure seamless integration. · Collaborate with engineers to maintain design integrity and adherence to specifications. Required Qualifications: · Currently have active Secret Clearance and are eligible to obtain Top Secret Clearance · Experience working on satellites or spaceplanes. · Proficiency in NX2312 (Xcelerator) Routing tools, TeamCenter, and Mentor Graphics (Capital). · Skilled in harness routing design for multiple installations. · Experience transitioning designs from preliminary concepts to Flight Release status. · Strong knowledge of configuration management and system simulations. · Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. · Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: · Ability to perform Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, and system analysis. · Familiarity with High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL). · Knowledge of Electro-Magnetic Effects (EME), including Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI). · Experience in digital and analog circuit design and schematic capture. · Understanding of printed circuit board (PCB) layout processes and tools.
