We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Electrical Engineer** to join our team! As the senior electrical engineer MEP, you will plan and design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for a new airport construction project. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to meet project requirements. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. + Extract engineering information from CAD drawings. + Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. + Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments. + Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. + Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. + Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. + Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. + Design systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software + Oversee the implementation of designs + Troubleshoot and alter plans if needed + Develop reports, studies, and system analysis + Mentor and train younger engineers and designers + Represent the firm at meetings **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required. + Experience in health centres, high-rise buildings/towers, hotels, bus depots, and/or commercial/residential building projects. + Essential background handling projects from inception to completion, including obtaining approvals from relevant authorities. + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering + 8+ years of engineering experience, with significant MEP experience + Proficient in design calculations and software tools + Strong understanding of trade-specific scope of project + Strong project management and leadership skills + CertificationsEngineer-in-training (EIT) certification and Professional engineer (PE) license. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Experience in Aviation program delivery Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
