Senior Electrical Physical Designer - Plant 3D / Revit Projects City Chattanooga State TN Country United States Area of Interest Electrical Engineering Type Full Time - Regular Job ID 2024-12924 Business Group Nuclear Power Group Department Electrical and Controls Design Description Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, this position will offer you the opportunity to work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in developing electrical equipment, cable tray & conduit raceway, support detail installation drawings in a 3-D modelUtilize Autodesk’s AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit modeling software to generate electrical design deliverables, BOMs, and commodity listsUnderstand and interpret electrical functional requirements developed using AutoCAD and tool sets and create physical design consistent with engineering requirementsPerform and manage cable routing activities utilizing cable information developed Act as the electrical design team lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated electrical design modelResolve clashes and discrepancies in the 3D model and report status Coordinate and provide guidance to other designers and project team members to ensure a complete and timely designIndependently plan and execute design of electrical deliverablesProvide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced drafters and designers

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:

Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD Plant 3D software and other tool sets including AutoCAD Electrical and Map 3D. Experienced and proficient with Navisworks Manage and Revit software including the following:Understanding of the integration aspects of electrical functional diagrams with 3D model developmentClass detection resolution & discrepancy checks between deliverablesReports/Schedules and Cable Management activitiesInterface with IT Administrators in the development of electrical deliverable templates and catalogs Drawing Presentation Rules Set UpPlant 3D and Revit model data managementMinimum seven years of detailed design experience in the development of electrical plant design drawings; raceway & supports, equipment, grounding, lighting, cable management  Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout modelsExperience in the review of project deliverables and drawing requirementsExperience in the review of vendor drawings and interface pointsAbility to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the plant design process. 

Valued but not required experience:

Autodesk Construction Cloud, MicroStation Microsoft Office tools
