**Responsibilities**
Serves as in-house contact for all MCA campuses. This position requires expertise in all areas of the medium and low voltage power distribution equipment and systems that operate at 120V up to 12.47KV. These systems are including but not limited to generators, ATS units, UPS units, paralleling switchgear, all service equipment, branch circuit distribution and other electrical systems, including all elements of the EPSS for healthcare facilities. Interacts with management to ensure all Lockout/Tagout, arch flash and life safety policies and procedures are updated per latest codes and strictly adhered to or observed during in-house installation, troubleshooting, testing or repairs. Interfaces with vendors/contractors to facilitate electrical system repairs or replacements. Coordinates and manages related infrastructure projects and works closely with other facilities staff, contractors and vendors. Maintains and modifies, as necessary, the preventive maintenance program and manages the maintenance and testing of these systems to ensure JCAHO and other regulatory compliance at all times. May dispose of hazardous waste in appropriate receptacles following hazardous waste and safety policies and procedures. Rotates on call and/or shifts as may be required. May be required to drive a Mayo vehicle.
**Qualifications**
Completion of a two-year vocational\technical school program or 4 years' apprenticeship in electrical required.
Minimum of six (6) years' industrial electrician experience in circuitry, power distribution at the medium voltage level of 12.47KV, lighting, and maintenance of electrical machinery and equipment with knowledge of electronic control systems (e.g. DDC), which includes two years' apprenticeship experience.
Demonstrated clinical or hospital electrical experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and utilize M.O.P. procedures, ACR-Flash protocols, Lockout/Tagout standards and adhere to Life Safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrated understanding of JCAHO, NEC, and other regulatory standards/requirements.
Demonstrated lead experience.
Knowledge of Windows based programs, including preventative maintenance programs.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
Demonstrated trouble shooting skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of the local electrical code and the authority having jurisdiction.
Valid Arizona driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $37.02 - $55.56 / hour
