We are looking for a Laboratory technician to join the Impinj silicon engineering team to work on the next generation of tag and reader chips. We are a fun, hardworking team of top-tier engineers that value and celebrate partnership and collaboration.

What you will do:

Work closely with IC designers and test engineers through preparation and execution of chips and product qualification tests. Mount test setups for measurement and complete the tests on both packaged samples and bare dies (using die prober). Configure and execute test automation software. Provide support for operating prototyping and production test equipment. Solder, mount components, and design printed circuit boards. Purchase materials and components. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide feedback to optimize SOPs. Be responsible for Lab infrastructure maintenance. Develop new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Participate in projects at any stage, from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring design requirement reviews with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to maintain compatibility of processing methods. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Develop and execute scripts for collecting, organizing and processing raw test data.

What you will bring:

3 + years of experience as an electronics lab technician or in related area Basic knowledge of IC components Ability to read and interpret a datasheet/technical documents. Experience with PCB drawing software is a plus. Experience with LPKF (PCB prototyping equipment) is a plus. Experience using standard test and measurement equipment including spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and oscilloscope. Experience in using die prober and micromanipulators is a plus. Knowledge in Python programming language is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communications (Portuguese). Good reading and writing in English. You're diligent and willing to take the initiatives for process and flow improvements. You should be committed to a motivated, respectful, accountable, and inquisitive work style and working environment.
