Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Job Title: Senior Embedded Software EngineerJob Description This position involves resolving issues and creating solutions to prevent problems in products (50%), developing software (25%), and coordinating with hardware and software groups (25%). The role focuses on embedded and real-time systems development. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in leadership and impactful work, especially in the support of class 3 medical devices. Responsibilities + Resolve issues and develop solutions to prevent problems in products. + Develop and maintain software for embedded and real-time systems. + Coordinate with hardware and software groups to ensure cohesive product development. + Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders. Essential Skills + Proficiency in modern C++ (11/14/17/20). + Experience working with embedded systems or real-time operating systems. + Hands-on experience with devices in both office and clinical/lab environments. + Solutions-oriented mindset that embraces change. + Team player with strong collaboration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with real-time operating systems like VxWorks is a plus. + Familiarity with products such as Trima is a plus. Work Environment The position requires working 100% onsite as part of a small team of four, including one other developer, one data engineer, and one release engineer. The team covers 43 different products that contain software and over 115 fielded versions. The work environment involves both office and clinical/lab settings.
