Lumentum is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Embedded Software Engineer to work on Brazil - Campinas R&D site. This person will play a key role in the design and development of next-generation optical communication products. In addition to working closely with the rest of the Brazilian team, you will collaborate with other R&D engineering groups including hardware, mechanics, optical packaging, and verification.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the software architecture and design for pioneering optical communication products.Innovate and collaborate with a team of industry experts, bringing your unique insights to shape the future of optical networks.Design, develop, and support embedded software on robust embedded Linux-based platforms.Be at the forefront of solving complex challenges, ensuring product reliability and performance.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience in embedded Linux software development.Hands-on experience with embedded C/C++ in an embedded Linux environment and thrive in a multi-threaded software design environment.Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.Proficiency with tools such as Git, Jira and Confluence. Exposure to technologies similar to Redis, Docker, OpenConfig, YANG, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, gNMI, SNMP, or NETCONF make you stand out.
