Senior Employee Experience Designer

You’ll connect EX/IDE to business outcomes and guide cross-functional teams to prioritize and address gaps. This role is designed for a leader eager to shape the future of work at Fortive and create a best-in-class EX across our diverse business portfolio. You’ll be part of Fortive’s Inclusive Growth Culture and People Enablement Center of Excellence (COE) and report to the Senior Director of EX/IDE. 

Responsibilities:

Analyze and Report: Continuously report on EX/IDE insights across the enterprise, identifying critical gaps and business impacts. Conduct research to determine root causes and propose leading practice solutions. Lead and Innovate: Lead cross-functional teams to co-design and prototype innovative solutions or enhance existing processes to improve EX/Engagement and IDE KPIs. Advise HR: Guide the Corporate HR team on prioritizing talent initiatives to maximize progress on Engagement and Business KPIs, position FTV for the Future of Work, and navigate the IDE regulatory landscape. Consult and Influence: Serve as an EX/IDE expert, consulting on enterprise-wide process and technology changes from a human and equity-centered design perspective. Influence go-to-market product strategies to advance community sustainability and equity commitments. Measure and Act: Evolve FTV’s EX/IDE measurement strategy and reporting mechanisms to facilitate meaningful and responsive action on gaps across the employee lifecycle. Upskill and Coach: Train OpCo Fortive Business System Leaders on EX/IDE theories and frameworks, and coach them as they address high-profile EX/IDE issues at the OpCo level.

Qualifications: 

Formal certification in UX and/or human-centered design thinking. 8+ years’ experience in a UX or human-centered design focused role within a company or in a consulting capacity. Deep expertise in foundational principles of EX and IDE as they apply to people, process, and technology in the workplace and corresponding best-practices. Strong skills in human-centered research, strategic thinking, facilitation, cross-collaboration, and senior stakeholder communications.   Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in regression and correlational analyses Experience in Lean Portfolio Management   Experience in lean manufacturing and/or SaaS environments   Education in industrial and organizational psychology Happy working in a fast-paced, agile environment   Intermediate to advanced level skills in generative AI
