The Senior Energy Engineer will focus on sponsored programs that encourage energy efficiency in commercial, industrial, schools and government buildings
and client satisfaction. This individual will be a critical member of the team and will utilize a unique combination of interpersonal and analytical skills to be successful. This position involves exercising a high level of creativity and autonomy, as well as the ability to work successfully within a team environment. The Senior Energy Engineer is a highly analytical and client centric position that includes working with utilities, recognizable Fortune 500 global corporations, as well as a variety of industry, and Government organizations.

Foster customer and client relationships coupled with exceptional communication skills, leading to the effective management and implementation of Strategic Energy Management programs Contribute towards development of a national Manage and lead engineering reviews of energy savings calculations for HVAC systems, Building Automation Controls, Lighting and Industrial equipment Provide guidance to engineering staff on best practices, baseline selection for existing buildings and new construction and preparing M&V plans for energy savings verification. Provide technical guidance to Service Providers and Customers regarding programmatic requirements pertaining to energy modelling and energy calculations Assess feasibility for new energy efficiency measures or disruptive technologies, liaison with clients to develop pilot studies and potential deemed savings methodologies. Conduct on-site energy assessments and analyze the energy performance of commercial buildings to determine cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades Interact with building managers to motivate them to implement energy efficiency upgrades in existing buildings Coordinate with other team members and clients to develop strategies to influence the market and increase participation in programs Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 5% to 20% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided).What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
Bachelors in (Engineering, Energy, Environmental Studies or related field)(Candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)5+ years of energy efficiency design and implementation or ESCO experience 2+ years Demonstrated knowledge of lighting, motors, HVAC systems, building automation systems3+ years of Knowledge of energy code standards for any of the following existing building and new construction codes such as ASHRAE 90.1 (incl. Appendix G), ASHRAE 62.1, LEED/WELL and other Green Building standards 2+ years of experience with at least one of the following energy modeling tools: TRACE 700, TRACE 3D+, eQuest, Carrier HAP, or EnergyPlusWhat we would like you to have:
Experienced with using Technical Resource Manuals (TRMs) and supervising the development of tools that utilize deemed savings methodologiesExperience with standard EM&V protocols (IMPVP) and energy savings calculation methodologies such as bin hour calculations, whole building energy modeling and chiller/boiler plant load modeling. Experience managing or implementing Strategic Energy Management (SEM) projects or programs for utility-sponsored programs Knowledge of building decarbonization and experience developing and managing carbon neutral programs Experience with analyzing utility interval data (AMR data) and regression modeling preferred Experience managing or evaluating energy efficiency projects through utility incentive programsManagerial experience and ability to nurture and develop junior engineers Provide insight and recommendations for program changes based on existing market knowledge and program trendsProfessional Skills:

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$89,203.00 - $151,646.00Columbia, MD (MD12)
